The World Cup in Russia starts on June 14th. SPOX takes a look at all venues and clarifies the question in which stadiums Germany plays in the group stage. FIFA World Cup 2018 Stadiums In Russia, seven stadiums were built only for the 2018 World Cup. The other five venues have already played in the league and European competitions.

Overall, nearly four billion euros were allocated to the stadiums, but due to foreign sanctions, the budget has been cut several times. Except for Yekaterinburg, all venues are located in the European part of Russia.

Luzhniki Olympic Stadium at the 2018 World Cup

Stadium: Volgograd Arena

The Volgograd Arena was designed by the German Architects Association Gerkan, Mark, and Partners and holds 45,568 seats. The stadium is located on the site of the demolished central stadium.

After the World Cup, the Volgograd Arena will be the second division stadium of FK Rotor Volgograd.
